BTS member Jin will join the army on the 13th and serve in the military for the first time among its members.
Jin joined the Army’s 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, on the afternoon of the 13th. SUGA, Jungkook, J-Hope, Jimin, V and RM all went to the scene.
Jin and the other members did not go down and greet each other or show up in front of reporters. He quietly joined the army amid enthusiastic reporters from all over the world. BTS fandom ARMY was surprisingly restrained from visiting the site and cheered with dignity.
After five weeks of basic military training, Jin will be deployed to serve as an active soldier in the army. The scheduled transfer date is June 12, 2024.
Reuters and BBC reported that fans were shocked by reports that Jin could be deployed to the front line after five weeks of training.
On the other hand, BTS will join the army one after another, starting with Jin. Hive, the agency’s agency, hoped to resume full-scale activities around 2025. Accordingly, SUGA, born in 1993, J-Hope, RM, born in 1994, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, born in 1997, are expected to join the army.
South Korea’s Ministry of National Defense announced that it will provide opportunities for members to participate if they wish when there is a public or national interest event after joining BTS.
